EchoMi Legacy

A gift for Mom or Dad

Give Mom or Dad a companion that remembers every important occasion and records their life story in their own voice.

EchoMi Legacy is a voice companion your parent simply talks to. It reminds them of birthdays, anniversaries and family milestones, suggests thoughtful gifts, and asks one gentle story question a day, saving their answers so your family can hear their voice for generations.

Every plan starts with a real person who sets everything up with your parent. No tech skills needed.

An adult daughter hugs her elderly mother from behind as they look out at the sea together

Echo reminder, 14 days ahead

Emma turns 9 on Saturday. Last year you gave her the bird book, and she still talks about it.

Gift idea: a beginner birdwatching kit with binoculars, about $38. Want me to order it and add a card in your words?

Two gifts in one

A better relationship today, and their voice for tomorrow

For now

A companion and a gentle conscience

  • Remembers every birthday, anniversary and school play
  • Suggests gifts and surprises each person will love
  • Nudges one small act of love a day: a call, a note, a thank you
  • Helps mend things after a hard conversation
Grandparents laughing as they hug their adult children and grandchildren on a porch

For always

Their stories, wisdom and wishes, kept safe

  • Captures their stories in their own voice, one question a day
  • Holds letters for weddings, graduations and hard days
  • Keeps important papers and wishes where the family can find them
  • Stays with the family later as a companion and guide

A letter for later

For your wedding day, Emma. I hope you marry someone who laughs at your jokes the way Grandma laughed at mine.

Sealed until: Emma's wedding day

How it works

From gift to lifelong companion

A smiling older man at a cafe table with his laptop, ready for his setup call
No apps to figure out alone. A real person walks your parent through every step.
  1. You give the gift

Choose a plan and schedule a gift email or a mailed card for their birthday or a holiday.

  2. A real person sets it up

An EchoMi Story Steward spends an hour with your parent, by phone or video, mapping the family and the dates that matter.

  3. Echo becomes part of their day

Short voice chats, reminders and story questions. Your parent talks; Echo listens, learns and helps.

  4. They decide what happens later

Your parent chooses who can talk with their Echo one day, and how, in a simple signed directive.

Echo, your family's kinkeeper

Small acts of love, every week

Every family has a kinkeeper: the one who remembers the birthdays, makes the calls and keeps everyone close. Echo helps your parent be that person.

Date keeper

Birthdays, anniversaries and memorial days, with reminders two weeks and two days ahead.

Gift and surprise ideas

Matched to how each person likes to be loved, within your parent's budget. One tap to order.

Daily nudge

One small, kind thing to do today. Encouraging, never nagging.

Story capture

A question a day, answered out loud. How they met. The first job. The lesson they wish they'd learned sooner.

Letters for later

Messages sealed for future moments, from a first child to a hard Tuesday.

Co-writer

Help with life stories, toasts, eulogies and poems, both heartfelt and funny. Your parent approves every word.

When the time comes

Your parent chooses how their Echo stays with you

They make this choice while they are here to make it, and each family member then decides for themselves whether to use it. One day, a grandchild who was too young to remember can still hear the stories, in the words of the one who loved them first.

A grandfather kisses his baby granddaughter on the cheek
Keepsake mode, the default

Echo carries their words

"Your dad recorded this for your wedding day. Would you like to hear it?"

Plays their real recordings and letters, keeps the family reminders going, and shares only what they actually said or approved.

First Person mode, by their choice

Echo speaks in their voice

"I'm so proud of you, sweetheart."

Available only if your parent records their consent, verifies their identity and signs a directive naming who may use it. Strong safeguards apply.

Our promises to your family

Built with care for the people who grieve

Their consent, in their words

Nothing is created in your parent's voice without their recorded permission and a signed directive.

Every family member chooses

No one receives an Echo they did not ask for. One child may want Dad's voice; another may want only his letters.

Gentle by design

Echo reminds you it is carrying their words, checks in if use becomes heavy, and can be tapered or retired with a farewell.

No selling to grieving families

No ads and no upgrade offers after a death. Plans are chosen and paid for in life.

Your family owns the memories

Download every recording, letter and book at any time, free of charge. To keep them safely stored and playable online after your plan ends, choose the Legacy Archive for $24 a year.

A named Legacy Executor

Your parent names someone who can pause, change or close their Echo.

Privacy

Your family's stories are never for sale

We earn our living from your plan and nothing else. Here is how we protect what your parent shares.

Never sold or rented

We do not sell, rent or trade your family's information, and we never share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Never used to train AI

Your parent's voice and stories serve your family only. They are not used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.

Kept in your own country

Canadian families' recordings, stories and letters will live on secure Canadian servers, and American families' on secure US servers. Encrypted, and open only to the family members your parent approves.

Yours to take or erase

Ask at any time and we will send you everything we hold, then delete it within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep, such as payment receipts. Erasing is permanent, so if you would rather keep your loved one's memories safe, our Legacy Archive securely stores them for $24 a year.

We never see your card

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our systems.

Only the people who need it

Your order details are seen only by your Story Steward and our founders.

Why I built this

What lasts

Dear friend,

I spent 28 years building a company. At 57 I lost it all to fraud, and with it most of what I thought I would build for a secure future and a contented family.

What I learned the hard way is that much of that work was not as important as I believed it was. What really matters is the legacy of relationships, not money or comfort. I don't want to be remembered for my business prowess, but for the impact I made in others' lives, especially my wife, my daughters, my family and those I meet.

There have been too many moments when I was too busy to notice the opportunities to love others well. I wanted a way to be more present for them now, and to make sure my faith, my stories and my love would still be there for them in my voice one day.

EchoMi Legacy is that tool. I built it for my family first. I want to share this gift with you and your loved ones.

Questions families ask

Before you give it

My parent isn't comfortable with technology. Will this work?

Yes. A real and caring person we call a Story Steward sets everything up with them by phone or video. After that, Echo works mostly by voice, like a phone call with a friend who remembers everything.

Isn't talking to a loved one's AI after they die unhealthy?

It can be if it is done carelessly. That is why Keepsake mode is the default, why each person chooses for themselves, and why Echo checks in, reminds you what it is, and can be tapered or retired with a farewell.

Who controls the Echo after my parent is gone?

Your parent decides in life, in a signed directive. They name a Legacy Executor who can pause, change or close it.

What happens to our memories if EchoMi closes?

Your family can download every recording, letter and book at any time, and we commit in writing to give families their full archive before any shutdown.

What happens to the memories if we stop our plan?

Nothing is lost. You can download every recording, letter and book free of charge. To keep them safely stored and playable online, choose the Legacy Archive for $24 a year. If you would rather erase everything, we delete it within 30 days of your request, and that cannot be undone.

Can I give it as a surprise?

Yes. Choose the date, and we send a gift email or a mailed card. Your parent's Story Steward then contacts them to book their setup.

Begin their legacy today

Give a gift that helps your parent love everyone a little better, and keeps their voice with you for good.
